What Makes Project Renew Different

  1. Project Renew is the only agency that has a chartered affiliation with a Congressionally funded not-for-profit (Neighborhood Reinvestment) that provides our board and staff with continous technical assistance, training and grant opportunities.  Neighborhood Reinvestment also provides Project Renew access to a secondary market called Neighborhood Housing Services of America (NHSA) that allows us to sell even our low interest mortgages for face value.  This unique ability allows us to continue to revolve our lending dollars.
  2. Project Renew's Board of Directors must reflect a 51% majority of the people that we serve.
  3. Project Renew also services our own loan portfolio.  This gives us the ability to immediately intervene and provide post purchase counseling to those individuals that are deliquent or exemplify consistent delinquencies.
  4. Project Renew does not have balloon mortgages.
  5. Flexibility to amortize up to 30 years.
  6. Project Renew's developers fee is based on the construction amount only. 
  7. Project Renew is also unique in its overall approach to holistic development.  We strategically try to develop a block at a time.  This is a greater visual impact as well as a significant increase in value for not only the surronding properties, but aslo the ones that are built.
